Main Composition and content

Inactivated porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) strain CH-1α at least 10^8.5 TCID₅₀/dose before inactivation.

Appearance

Milky white uniform emulsion.

Indication

For the prevention of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (commonly known as: blue ear disease of porcine). The duration of immunity is 6 months.

Administration and Dosage

Intramuscular injection.

For pregnant sows: the first inoculation within 40 days of pregnancy, the second inoculation at the interval of 20 days, boost every 6 months, all at 4 ml per head.

For breeding boars, the first inoculation at the same time with the sows, the second inoculation at the interval of 20 days, boost every 6 months, all at 4ml per head.

For piglets: only one inoculation at the age of 21 days, 2 ml per head.

Precautions

1. Restore the vaccine to the room temperature and shake it well before the use.
2. Disinfect strictly the injection site.
3. Fix the pregnant sows properly to avoid mechanical abortion.
4. A small portion of pigs will appear slight swelling after vaccination, and return normal after 21 days.
5. Forbid to administer the vaccine 21 days before slaughter.
6. Administer the vaccine under the guide of veterinarians.
